What is Registered Massage Therapy?
Registered Massage Therapy encompasses a variety of different hands-on techniques used to treat pain and dysfunction in the musculo-skeletal, nervous and circulatory systems. Our Registered Massage Therapists are trained in techniques that include Myo-Fascial Release (MFR), Traditional Swedish Massage, and Trigger-Point Release Therapy, along with Muscle-Energy Techniques.
The Registered Massage Therapists (RMT’s) at Cedar Hill Sports Therapy Clinic are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC). RMT’s have undergone extensive training and are regulated by the CMTBC Guidelines and Code of Conduct.
Massage Therapy is effective in treating acute injuries, pain conditions, and post-operative recovery. Massage Therapy can also help in addressing chronic tissue tension imbalances that lead to ongoing musculo-skeletal problems.
Relaxation is another one of the beneficial outcomes of Massage Therapy. Many people schedule regular Massage Therapy treatments to ease the stress and strain that repetitive occupational demands or recreational pursuits place on their bodies.
